Making the world a nicer place, one golf package at a time!

Welcome to Southern Greens of SC Golf Packages

(not to be confused with collard greens)

Hello Golfers,

My name is Lisa Suggs, Owner and Golf Coordinator of Southern Greens of SC Golf Packages.  Let me share a little about myself...

Born on a golf course, I was raised by a golf pro, started playing golf at age 5 and scored my first hole - in - one at age 6... Need I say more????

O.K., a  little fudging on the above, but my father was a golf pro and I did start playing golf at age 5.

It all started back when, while attending nursing school, I worked part-time waiting tables and also worked at Swamp Fox Golf under the direction of Martha Dusenbury.  Being a golfer, working at the golf office was a fun job with excellent perks!

Nursing school didn't go as planned, life happened and years later (2004), I landed back at Swamp Fox Golf as Golf Director.  I thoroughly enjoyed working as director for 9 years.  I met many wonderful people, made many new friends all while doing something that I enjoyed.  I wanted this to be my career and envisioned myself doing this forever.

Here comes life again... As of May 30, 2013 new management took over Swamp Fox Golf and I found myself unemployed.  Time to make a decision, so I decided to venture out on my own (with the help from a very supportive husband and family) and continue in a profession that I adore!

The ball started rolling (ha) one evening in early June of 2013 while driving to Hartsville for dinner. We passed the Landmark Inn (light bulb) and thought "what a perfect setting for a golf package !"  A two level inn, neat as a pin, open corridor rooms (seems that golf groups like this), center courtyard with a pool, picnic tables and close to six of the best golf courses in the area.  I scheduled a meeting with the General Manager, Fearn Gupton, and knew immediately that this venture would work!  Fearn is the granddaughter of the original builders and owners of The Landmark Inn.  Her grandfather, Mr. Redfearn, built the inn back in 1973.  With  several different owners over the years and recent renovations,  it is now back in the family and being well taken care of.  I noticed right away the attention to detail and commitment to maintenance.  Customer satisfaction was top on their list of priorities.  So, partnering up with this facility was a 'no-brainer'.
